SeaGarden Kickoff and Kerteminde Seafarm visit

πŸ“ Kerteminde, Denmark Β· TornΓΈes Hotel

The SeaGarden consortium meets in Kerteminde, Denmark, on 23–24 September 2026 for the second part of the project kick-off β€” the first time the partners come together in person, following the online kick-off in June.

Over two days the consortium combines working sessions with a visit to Kerteminde Seafarm, where mussel and seaweed cultivation are already under way. The Danish forerunner’s experience feeds directly into the design of the pilot Sea Gardens planned for Germany, Poland and Lithuania.

Day 1 covers good practices for implementing community-driven regenerative marine farms: methodologies, site selection and monitoring.

Day 2 turns to policy integration, guidance and knowledge infrastructure, the co-design of the Decision-Support Tool, and a site visit.

The meeting is for project partners. An official invitation with registration details and further information is sent to participants closer to the date.
