SeaGarden partners meet in Kerteminde on 23–24 September
The SeaGarden consortium meets in Kerteminde, Denmark, on 23–24 September 2026 for the second part of the project kick-off. It is the first time the partners from Lithuania, Germany, Poland and Denmark come together in person, after the online kick-off in June.
The two days pair working sessions with time on the water. Day one covers good practices for implementing community-driven regenerative marine farms — methodologies, site selection and monitoring. Day two turns to policy integration, guidance and knowledge infrastructure, and the co-design of the project’s Decision-Support Tool.
Partners also visit Kerteminde Seafarm, where mussel and seaweed cultivation are already under way, and the local sea garden in Kerteminde harbour. As the project’s Danish forerunner, Kerteminde brings operating experience that feeds directly into the design of the pilot Sea Gardens planned for Germany, Poland and Lithuania — which is the point of meeting there rather than anywhere else.
Full details are on the event page. The meeting is for project partners; registration details are sent to participants directly.
