What we do

SeaGarden runs through four work packages.

WP1

Management & Coordination

Smooth, efficient project execution: coordination, financial management, quality, risk, and continuous communication between partners and stakeholders.

WP2

Technical and Integrated Knowledge Base for Regenerative Marine Farming

Builds the shared technical knowledge base: reviews methods, develops the Decision-Support Toolbox and Technical Toolkit, and makes tools openly available to maximise uptake.

Lead: Gdynia Maritime University (GMU)

WP3

Implementing Community-Driven Regenerative Marine Farms – Pilot actions

Establishes pilot “Sea Gardens” in the South Baltic for community-based regenerative marine farming, testing nutrient-removal performance and refining techniques.

WP4

Cross-Border Knowledge Hub and Uptake Pathways for Community-Based Marine Farm Solutions

Anchors long-term impact: the SeaGarden Knowledge Hub, cross-border uptake, capacity building, and policy alignment.

Lead: EUCC – The Coastal Union Germany (EUCC-D)
